It's going to be partly cloudy in Singapore today with a high of 32 Celsius. Expect showers to pick up at the tail end of the weekend and continue into Monday.

Diplomatic missions close amid fear of more protests

Several diplomatic facilities were shuttered Friday as many braced for intensified protests over the anti-Islam movie "Innocence of Muslims," as well as recently published cartoons in a French publication of a figure resembling the Prophet Mohammed.

Syrian government warplanes targeted a northern town Thursday, hitting a gas station and triggering an explosion that killed at least 55 people, opposition forces said.

Teacher on FBI child pornography list

Eric Toth, who taught at an elite private school, has replaced Bin Laden as number one on the FBI's Top Ten List. Toth has eluded capture since 2008. Officials are still unaware of his whereabouts.

Jerry 'The King' Lawler in stable condition

Famed World Wrestling Entertainment announcer, Jerry Lawler, had a heart attack yesterday. The WWE host was rushed to the hospital where he is now in critical condition. A spokesperson for the WWE says that the organization hopes he recovers swiftly.

Snoop Lion endorses Obama

Snoop Lion, formerly known as Snoop Dog has officially endorsed Barack Obama. The artist has never spoken on behalf of another candidate. His commended Obama on the capture of Bin Laden and pushed the people to vote.

Liberty University students and local members gathered in Demoss last night to watch a historical moment; President Obama accpeting the Presidential nomination. The club's gathering marked a milestone for the university that disbanded all political affiliations 2009. Last year, the members joined together and started hosting events

8-Foot-Python on the Loose in Roanoke
A snake escaped from a local Roanoke resident's house. The snake kept neighbors on edge and prompted many calls to animal control. The owner, Nick Scheiffer, hopes that no one kills his pet. The python has yet to be found.

Man Arrested After He Beats Man With Baseball Bat
Kevin Pillsbury was arrested on Thursday morning for hitting a man with a baseball bat. Reports do show that Pillsbury had been drinking. The victim managed to escaoe and run to the neighbors for help.
